Printed at irregular periods in the St James's Chronicle. By George Colman. The 1787 edition reproduced here. It is entitled Prose on Several Occasions, accompanied with some pieces in verse, and is by George Colman and dedicated to Sir Joseph Banks. It contains: The Genius, The Gentleman, The Adventurer, Terrae-Filius. The journals contain much information and opinion relating to literature, drama, women and humour and adopt a conversational style.
