The issues included here are: No. 42 (22 Oct 1715), No. 51 (24 Dec 1715), supplement (26 Oct 1715). Edited by Michel de la Roche. "This new ed. consists only of three hundred and fifty copies." Quote taken from the preface. This first edition of this periodical was issued by Michel de La Roche from Mar 1710 to Sep 1714, and from Jan to at least Apr 1717. In 1725 he started "New memoirs of literature," which ran until Dec 1727, and in 1730 "A Literary journal, or a continuation of the Memoirs of literature," which came to an end in 1731. cf.
